Allergies Vs Infection on a Angelina Studio's POV

Let's learn about Infection first.

Definition. The invasion and growth of germs in the body. The germs may be bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi, or other microorganisms. Infections can begin anywhere in the body and may spread all through it. An infection can cause fever and other health problems, depending on where it occurs in the body.

Infection is caused by the introduction of germs. So let me clear this up:

  1. My Salon is clean, I have zero pets. Client's Towel changed after every use. Salon Bed Sheets are changed on daily basis.

  2. I wash my hands with soap after every client.

  3. My nails are extremely short 99% of the time. ( For hygiene)

  4. I am Japanese Trained, meaning training are emphasised safety, infections, and allergies, before everything else.

  5. All my tools except for tweezers are disposable and never reuse.

  6. My tweezers are always clean, and I am trained and well-versed to never touch a client at any point of time in the appointment. Yes, my tweezers are always in floating mode. I am damn good.

I don't want to jinx myself, but infection with the above is very unlikely. Unlikely, but it does not mean it will not. The client also must exercise good hygiene.

Allergies.

Possible and known allergies

  1. Carbon allergy (black pigment in glue)

  2. Stainless steel allergy (Tweezers)

  3. Skin allergy to Tape adhesives

Allergies are things you are hypersensitive to. No salon can vouch for no allergy because every individual has different things that they are hypersensitive to. It's just like some don't-eat prawns or peanut butter. It's the same here. If you have a known allergy to latex, you should let us know, because all our beds and pillows are 100% latex.

And there is one thing I hated the internet for, that they stated redness in eyes after a lash extension is an allergy, tearing, etc. It is not an allergy reaction. It is a reaction caused by fumes released by glue when it dries up. It's a whole list of technical terms from the lash world if I were to explain these in detail. Please know that I will do everything to the best of my ability to not let you experience that. However, everybody's eyes are built and made differently, hence till today, I still cannot vouch that redness in the eye will not happen.
